    “This past weekend, we spent time with some amazing people. When I say that, I truly mean it. On Friday when we arrived, we knew a hand full of people. By Sunday, we were hugging each others necks as we said goodbyes and can’t wait until the next time. The parents, the guides, the board members, and the kids were all what we needed. You know when you have a child with a disability or in our case cancer, sometimes you need parents to cope with that have been through the same thing. We sat around Friday night, Saturday, and Sunday all sharing our story and hearing others. These kids hunted hard this weekend. The smiles on their face would fill your eyes with tears. The memories made this weekend will never be forgotten. I’m glad to share Braylynn with these amazing people!"

  • "Being a part of Kourageous Outdoor Kids is truly a blessing. We take many everyday things in our lives for granted or complain when something doesn't go quite our way. After spending time in the woods with any of these Kourageous Kids you see how silly our "inconveniences" are. These kids are the true definition of a hero. They never complain and fight a battle each day that would break most adults. It's not only them but their parents and siblings. They are all in that fight together. KOK is here to hopefully make that fight a little easier. We will make every effort to "Turn Outdoor Dreams into Reality" for our kids."

In doing this hunt, Ryker was able to overcome his fears and realize he is capable of a lot more than most 7 year olds. It encourages him to continue to be strong and brave.
